Governance of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles is carried out through Diocesan Convention, elected committees, the Corporation of the Diocese, and canonical officers who support the diocese’s mission, fiduciary responsibilities, and common life.

Standing Committee

The Standing Committee acts as a council of advice to the bishop and carries canonical responsibilities between meetings of Diocesan Convention.

Corporation of the Diocese

The Corporation of the Diocese oversees finance, audits, insurance, taxes, legal documents, property matters, bequests, and other fiduciary responsibilities.
